California Collection paintings 51-66

On we go with The California Collection summary - hard to cram so much into a weekly-ish post as - 1 painting per day for 80 days (full album of the collection developing here) marches on.

 Since my last article the whole collection has taken on a new meaning with far more of a purpose - Great we've shifted more of the collectable and fun sticker packs with sheet A....

By giving every other one away to a few of the homeless people in San  Francisco....

Even in full flow of  one painting per day for 80 days, #51 to 66 of The California collection has taken my work to a new level and it's great to share some of the highlights here, given the dichotomy of wealth that's driving this project from the beautifully sublime to the downright sad and degrading...

Been meaning to paint them for a while, what with their $ meets heart shaped necks....

I was also determined to address the whole sugar thing here in California...

Another issue is the addiction to video games here, in particular Fortnite, as addictive is the homeless meth, sugar in Coke and in the minds of teens everywhere I go...

With a much needed respite up at Napa Valley at the Summit lake Winery with Red Thread wines founder Brian Brakesman and family...

Inspiring not one but 2 paintings, with #65 'Lovin Grapes' in the mix....

Then a biggy,  inspired by rainbow chasing lottery tickets, entitled 'Road to Riches'  initially....

 With a partially scratched lotto ticket, to be completed as and when the original is sold....

With shades of back home, the hills and the countryside that I'm missing...

With the Route 66 taking it to Santa Monica nicely, the end of the road for the route but not the collection of course, 80 is the number! i'll be visiting Santa Monica on the final leg, it has to be done long with the city of Angels!

With this Johnny Cash mash up playing pretty much daily....

Above all, it's been a brilliant start to the first third of the Californian collection as Art tells a story in vulnerable glory and it's been great partnering with CB Photography & Videography...

Recording the first 66 with professional help  - great to put the pause button on!

A man with a fine taste for music aswell as photography!
