15. Health I$ Wealth (2024)

The older I get the more I realise that, ultimately....

As 2024 got going I'll really wanted to explore this topic and both sides of the coin and turn my hand back to physical painting. The slight issue was I've been suffering from suspected Carpel Tunnel syndrome in both of my hands.....

 

I'm all for diamond hands in the crypto world but the function of my fingers and thumbs is pretty important so in the summer of 2024, after a few nerve conduction studies in the Spring I decided to go under the knife for my Carpel tunnel release of my left and rather dominant left hand...

*Breathes in / breathes out - hospitals aren't my fave place but afterall health is wealth and I've bene lucky to rarely spend time in them. So given a good 6-8 week healing times rather than mope about with my left hand elevated I decided to paint 4 paintings with my right hand - the first time I'd held a brush in my right hand.

Not only did I learn patience in painting (a first for me since 2012)I was pleasantly surprised at the results with decent constructive feedback on Linked In that propelled me on not only to complete all 4 paintings but then go back to my left hand and paint the other 4 Health is Wealth originals. I didn't expect the title of this my 15th collection to become so literal but there we are!

This collection is made up of the 8 paintings plus a private Health is Wealth pop Art disrputive style commission I delivered for Tom Rourke and the team at The Els golf club in Dubai initially back in 2022....
No record of the commission existed digitally until now!
